Rawmarsh Community School
BACKGROUND
Rawmarsh Community School in Rotherham, South Yorkshire is an 11-16 comprehensive school serving 1,054 students. Flick Energy Solutions were invited to complete an energy and lighting survey. After conducting the survey, the school applied for an interest-free loan from Salix Finance under their Salix Energy Efficiency Fund (SEEF). Our aim was to enhance lighting levels, lower maintenance costs and reduce the overall energy consumption of the school. All of which were achieved.
SOLUTION
The solution offered a range of products to enhance lighting levels. These included FORCE 22 EDGE, HAWK and FALCON from Flick Lighting. The products offered good efficiency (up to 139cl/cw), easy to install and are built using British manufactured components.
Over 1000 FITTINGS were specified for the project, all of which were delivered in two shipments weeks before the project start date. The installation was carried out by a local electrical contractor, won through competitive tender.
RESULTS
Through the vast experience and flexibility of Flick Energy Solutions, and a range of high end British manufactured products from Flick Lighting, Rawmarsh students and staff now benefit from enhanced lighting levels while reducing energy consumption and cost.
